The Accordion Folding Slider uses a truss like starter panel hinged to the building column for stability then centers the trolley in the standard panels for balanced operation and weight distribution.

The open door has half of each standard panel inside the building and half outside. The increased number of panels offer additional strength but also increases the amount of the opening width necessary to store the open door. The amount of door extending away for the building compared to the Horizontal Bi-Fold is reduced substantially. The amount of the door extending into the building compared to the Inside Slider is reduced substantially. All the available building clear opening height is usable—no need to build a taller structure than necessary.
